Animation Project Concepts:
1.) Post your ideas/concepts for your Stop Motion Animation Project
2.) When considering ideas/concepts, be sure that the animation is more than 30 seconds in length, but no more than 120 seconds in length.
3.) Keep aware of constraints such as - the amount of time it will take for creating the animation, the amount of equipment necessary to complete the animation, the amount of people necessary to compete the animation – in other words, make sure that it is doable with at minimum a handheld smartphone for still image capture.
4.) Do NOT use a video camera - use ONLY a series of continuous single-capture images
5.) Be sure to explain your ideas/concepts in a story-like manner detailing the action/events that will take place.
Post the following information to your blog:
- Subjects or objects that can be animated and easily moved and/or posed - what will you animate?
- Post your story line and plan on telling at least a 30-second story. At an average of two/tenths of a second frame rate in Photoshop, this will require somewhere between 360 to 480 frames/images.
- Storyboard and plan your shot list and post it on your blog. What is the opening shot? What object moves? Where does it move from, where does it move to, and how fast does it move? Slower moves will require more closely-spaced images while faster jumps will require fewer images.
